Vice President Biden’s son, Beau, is being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center with an undisclosed illness.

The vice president’s office confirmed to The Hill that Beau is at the hospital, but offered nothing further.

A source told CNN said the situation with Beau Biden is “serious.”

Beau Biden, the former Delaware attorney general and Army officer, has battled with illnesses in the past.

He suffered a mild stroke in 2010 and received treatment at a Houston cancer center after what NBC News confirmed was the discovery of a mass on his brain.
