(53,661 posts)The only objection I have to this thread is the knee jerk slap at another candidate. Why make the division? I'm more affected by good statements with the real words a candidate than spin.
All I want to hear is more data about the candidate to be able to talk to people I know IRL to get them to listen to Sander's ideas. I'm making the case to my liberal HRC friends, but I will NOT say one bad thing about her and I mean that, not EVER!
Because she has been a stalwart in the issues they most care about, that affect their lives. That would be like disrespecting their entire lives. I don't do that.
Let the facts and basic truths rule since negativity doesn't work anywhere IRL except among small minded people who are looking for a reason to trash someone. I don't give such time there, so why bother here, with those who may not have ever supported the DNC platform of Equality for All, which it is?
So this is our only disagreement, you have made some awesome posts recently that I appreciate a great deal.
But any sign of spin and insults, I never go for at DU, it speaks more to the character of those dissing than the candidate. We have at least 2 great ones who we can all be proud of, and then convince each other who is best, and not by insults. They are not at that low down level, are they would not worthy of votes.
That's not going to work IRL, either. AND I am NOT talking about you. Those online who really get off to that kind of stuff (there were a couple on Reddit who tried that gambit) can enjoy it for what it is if it gives them, an immediate superior feeling.
They have their reward already, they are not going online to political message boards to change minds for their alleged candidate, they are there for their own egos. Meh.
