Anytime anyone spouts the "liberal press" BS ...

I remember like it was yesterday, the 08 election.

MSNBC made a big deal bout little lukie, the "tragedy" of his father's passing still fairly fresh, making him their "youth" or "college" election specialist or whatever it was. They were bringing him on the scene and promoting him as baby Russert and some great connection with the youth vote.

His first on air bit was about the youth vote from a college town.

It was Obama v McCain at that point, and what he reported was the reality. Lots of Obama energy. Did not talk a lot about McCain, did not say anything negative about him, but MADE THE MISTAKE of being too effusive about the energy BO had with the college vote, which again, was the reality of it.

Next day they had him on again, and he CLEARLY had been talked to. He found all these reasons why Obama might APPEAR to have a strong amount of energy with the youth vote, but that he had some real problems, and that in fact McCain had a very strong amount of support in the youth vote.

From that day one, he has been completely on track with the two commandments of the "liberal" corporate media. ALWAYS negatively frame the democrats, NEVER report republicans in a negative manner.

Sold out, second day on the job.

For those how hate Chuck Todd - SAME THING.

First saw him a reporter on CSPAN - he actually was pretty tangibly a progressive then. Did not falsely frame republicans in a negative manner, or falsely promote Ds, but you could tell he liked reporting positive news about Ds.

The moment he got the promotion to MSNBC, he knew the rules of the game - ALWAYS negatively frame Ds, NEVER report republicans in a negative manner.
