Corporate fake candidates of an oligarchy have no such responsibility, no such need. All they need to do is get their slick advertisements out there and trust that their propaganda machines are out there drumming home manipulative messages rationalizing their utter lack of accountability to the people. Maybe even cynically PRAISING it, along the lines of Orwell's mouthpieces praising the increase in the chocolate ration.
Honesty versus manipulation. What ugly manipulation we get from corporate candidates who are replacing the fundamental responsibility of politicians to be accessible and accountable representatives, with this fake democracy of protected, unreachable politicians and manipulative ad campaigns.
