What an idiotic statement. Raising a child is far more of a commitment than reciting some vows in front of a guy in a robe. If you're gonna allow gay couples to formally adopt a kid then you goddamn better allow them to at least make a public acknowledgment that they will stay together to raise that kid.

As far as I'm concerned he's just more or less hinted that he is indeed in favor of same sex marriage, he just doesn't have the cojones to come out and say so. But then who in their right mind expects to see him show any cojones at all?
