It might be the case that the "institution of marriage between a man and a woman... has been shown over and over to be the gold standard." It might be true that that is what most people choose, or are predisposed to.

But you know something, Bill? Silver is pretty nice too. And so are diamonds and rubies. And platinum and emeralds. The world would be pretty boring if all we had to look at was gold.
