In reply to the discussion: What will happen to Josh Duggar? [View all]pnwmom
(110,261 posts)73. I see nothing in the comments that indicates he molested a child when he was 16.
Yes, he is accused of a sexual sin -- but in their eyes that could even include consensual "sinning" with his betrothed. There is no way to know what those anonymous comments about a sexual sin on the campaign trial are referring to. Maybe he and his fiancee were caught french kissing -- and so her father blamed Josh for his campaign loss. These people are absolutely nuts.
I spent 7 years reading partial-truths mixed with vicious lies in comments about the Amanda Knox case, by self-promoting experts. I don't care who the subject is -- no one should be forming opinions based on unsourced, anonymous comments they read online.

This is not "forgotten" behavior. He will do it again and hopefully be caught before

I would err on the side of caution, certainly, if I was a person in contact with Josh.

It's also possible that the daughters were blamed for tempting poor Josh to sin. (eom)

How are they going to do that? Even without a house payment Jim Bob has one heck of an overhead.

Did you read Huckabee's feed? It was disastrous. The Right wing fringe just took a big hit.

Will he abuse his kids or other children? Will he try and shame those he abused?

One thing that allows me to hope he will not is that he told both his wife and her parents

He has a 4th child--a 2nd daughter--on the way. And I think that his wife will stand by him.
