33. I promise.

I will not give you any platitudes. I do not know how even to empathize with you. I am out of your element, so to speak.

But, I will be with you all the way, as will a great, great many of us here at DU, and across the nation.

The LGBT has done the requisite and prodigious spadework by themselves. Although always an ally, I confess that I have not always been an activist. That changed a decade or so ago for me.

There are many of us like us in the world. I sincerely hope you realize that we wouldn't all be together at this time if the LGBT community hadn't done that spade work to change culture.

That is a battle we all fight together now. I bow to the LGBT community because you have done such an exquisite job that maybe, just maybe, victory is at least in sight.

You're against LGBT? Bully for you, you bully!

Things are changing for all of us. We have to sieze the nettle.

We're all together.
