(38,674 posts)32. It is not what I think - it is how the poster is using it -
which is certainly not as a positive attribute. You can't use homosexuality to slam someone without implying it is a bad thing. It used to be pretty standard that comments like this would be hidden - with only the rare one getting a jury like this one. Recently, though, more and more supposedly progressive people on DU don't seem to understanding that you can't use homosexuality (or mental illness, or anything else for that matter) as a weapon without implying it is a bad thing.
Being gay should NEVER be used as an insult on DU.
