38. When you use something as an insult

whether that something is shithead or cruel - or gay, you are implying it is bad. Name calling insults don't work unless you are implying the thing you are calling them is bad.

Period.

We've been over this ad nauseum on DU with respect to using gay as an insult, using "tard" as an insult, etc. Using a group of people as an insult is offensive.
