He is just dead inside. He's perfectly rational. He just has to try to fake feelings. That's why he always seems to be "off" in public like when he visits coffee shops and has to talk to real people. His reactions aren't real. He laughs at the wrong time. He has to pretend to like people. He says weird things. There's just nothing inside him.
