Smearing a decades-long strong supporter of civil rights as a racist is low and despicable, and of course it's being done by our familiar, full-time defenders of corporate policy and dispensers of Third Way talking points. That's not "criticism" of the candidate, and it's not a joke. It's called lying and a smear campaign.

It's deeply ugly, and it's yet another important example of the dishonesty, moral vacancy, and manipulativeness of corporate candidates and their election campaigns.

There's a clear theme emerging in this election. Honesty and representation, versus dishonesty and manipulation.
