When are people going to learn that rightwing 'christianity'--Catholic or Protestant--is based on the oppression of women and that this INEVITABLY leads to sex crimes? It's become very obvious, but a lot of people still get suckered.

Both of these kinds of 'christianity' need to be purged of hatred and oppression of women, if they want to have any claim to being "Christ-like." There is absolutely nothing in the teachings of Jesus, as they have come down to us--neither in the orthodox gospels, nor the suppressed Gnostic gospels--that supports oppression of women, nor the view of women as baby-machines, nor the view of women as "subject" to their husbands or to any man, nor confinement of women to household activities, nor hatred of women, nor hatred of gays, Pagans or anybody else, nor witch-burning, nor hatred or oppression of any kind, no support for subjugation of any kind; nothing on marriage whatsoever; and the only teaching on prostitution or women having sex outside of marriage is that men should "cast the first stone" at themselves!

The sole and shining teaching of Jesus was "love they neighbor as thyself." And all the puffed up, self-worshipping men, who not only dare to call themselves 'christians' but who dare to control the Christian religions, as popes or preachers, and who dare to dictate to others, are NOT Christians.

Sorry for the rant, but these "dominionists" sicken me. They are so-o-o-o-o wrong! And the Corporate Media's and other Corporate Rulers' use of this screwed up religion to rob us all blind is disgusting.
