35. I love cross country.

Before my hips and knees began to hurt like hell I used to love to run. I never did much racing, but I loved exploring the world at that pace. There comes this point where you are at one with your physical self and surroundings and there's nothing quite like it.

My sister has been doing those "Iron People" sorts of events for more than thirty years now, where contestants swim, bike, and run, but those always seemed just plain brutal to me.
