17. "Seeking comfort"?

Fuck that guy. He had an affair that resulted in a child while his wife was dying of cancer. He lied to her, he lied to his campaign, he lied to his supporters, and he may have illegally used campaign contributions to cover up the affair - which is what the trial is about. He's not being tried for having an affair, though he deserves a thorough ass-kicking for that. "Seeking comfort"? Bullshit. His wife was dying of cancer; she needed comfort, not betrayal. If John needed comfort he should have gotten counseling or gone to church instead of sneaking around, fucking some flaky, self-absorbed, high-maintenance groupie.
