(6,409 posts)When people get behind a candidate, they sometimes get a little too excited. If anybody says anything negative about their candidate, they get very defensive, sometimes firing back with really inappropriate stuff. All the candidates have problems, but Democrats should be careful to point out these problems in a way that doesn't feed into the Republican BS machine. If you want to criticize Clinton's handling of the Benghazi incident, you could say, "Hillary Clinton had trouble managing information during the Benghazi crisis." Or you could say, "Hillary Clinton lied about people as they were dying." Disregarding the fact that one statement is probably untrue, which one would you attribute to a sane, rational person who is control of his or her emotions? If you want to think of it another way, which statement would be more likely to come from a Republican nut job? We need to think about such things when we feel like firing a volley at the opponent.
