(7,892 posts)This is the Democratic Underground. It counts. It means something to me. I learn. I grow. It has changed me in many ways. I respect it, even if you don't.
My point was that Bernie is clearly choosing not to go negative; he and Hillary are friends. Vitriolic assignations of dire intent on her part based on logical assumptions I do not buy are not 'policy' debates. Bernie would not support these allegations; he sticks to the facts. Going negative would be mistake for him, he knows it. All this Hillary-hatred serves Hillary, that is my point.
You know, a lot of knee-jerk bile being spewed at me for this post. I love Bernie, I just don't hate Hillary, and so I must be vilified. Makes me wonder what the baser motivations of my fellow Bernie-supporters are -- it all smacks of primal tribe-exclusion.
I'll probably vote for Bernie anyway, because I choose to. But Hillary-hatred is a thing that will doom his campaign if it gets meme-legs. Mock me if you want, but this is Politics 101. I want him to win, but there is a perverse psychological effect at work here -- I am repelled by mean-mouthed holier-than-thous, and they seem to be swarming lately, all on the 'side of Bernie'.
I don't think you understood the point of my post at all. Maybe read it again.
