(7,892 posts)It's been made clear to me on this thread that unless I hate Hillary, I am a Hillary troll. I believe that kind of divide and condemn crap hurts Bernie's cause, and that he would be the first to say so.
"So what was the point of the OP? You want internet cred from Hillary supporters or what?"
I want Bernie's supporters on DU to reflect the utterly reasonable and competent nature of the man himself, and to refrain from the goddamned litmus tests that immediately polarize and isolate moderates away from him. The very nature of your challenge belies a need to shame and exclude. I don't give a fuck what Hillary supporters think of me. I am calling for reasonable, civil discourse, and getting shite flung in my face for saying so.
I made my point, and most of the comments from poster with Bernie's picture as their avatar are proving my point. You want to slander and accuse and litmus-test, fine. Welcome to Hillary.
You know, when my avatar Abbie Hoffman endorsed George McGovern he was vilified for it by a similar crew of purists. I think it's foolish, and that is the point of my post.
I'm probably going to vote for Bernie in spite of the vitriol, because part of me thinks it's all right-wing rat-fucking designed to divide and destroy the party. A few trolls on either side starting a flame war that fulfills their purpose of damaging both candidates. Is this possibility not clear to you?
It's clear to me. Be as dismissive and mean-mouthed as the rest, go ahead. It fucks us all.
