(95,337 posts)It goes away after the primaries.
I thought Hillary was very gracious after Obama won the nomination and gave the speech of a lifetime which helped to unify the party. The media played the Democratic Convention in 2008 like we were divided and that Hillary was going to take her supporters and start a 3rd party run or possibly support McCain because I guess women support other women because they have the same body parts and McCain picked Palin. (somewhere there is logic with that).
But that never happened and the party was very united but of course the media still found a few dissenters, the 'PUMA' (party united my ass) who swore that the Hillary 'supporters' were not going to support Obama blah blah blah.
Turns out the PUMAs were not very plentiful and those who vowed they were also PUMAs here at DU didn't last long in DU membership. And as you know, Skinner and Earlg have shown to be big Clinton supporters. But even they were united from the start with Obama once he was nominated.
So for those who stay irrational they will not last long at DU. This a website for Democratic supporters. People are welcome to say what they want before the primaries but afterwards we all support the Democratic nominee. That's what this website is about. If people feel that strongly about not supporting him or her, then they can go elsewhere.
