130. Beamie, I don't know who thinks that, but I'd sure rather vote for him...

than for any woman who thinks that abortion should be "rare".

As a woman who has had an abortion, more than one, and even an illegal one, way back in the day, I happen to believe that if any woman feels that she should not, cannot go thru a pregnancy, then it is that woman's right to whatever medical care that she needs. I don't think that there is anything immoral about deciding to have an abortion and I am definitely not ashamed that I've ever needed that particular procedure. When I had my abortions, it was the moral decision that I made, each and every time.

If someone looks at me with googly eyes when I call "Bullshit" on the proclamation that abortion should be rare, I tell 'em to try walking a mile in my life, having been extremely fertile, failed by birth control, raped by strangers, raped and beaten to a bloody pulp by loved ones, a single mom and always, working class.

So, while I've not even considered yet who I'll support in our Presidential Primaries, when I hear any woman pontificate on how the number of abortions should be reduced, I can only think that she should get out into the real world more and learn exactly why women need access to abortions.
