This is about maintaining the status quo through incremental changes that won't solve a damn thing. What is necessary is a basic income, but no one is talking about it and the richest are afraid to go there because they know that it makes them no longer the top .01%. The closest we've come if Warren Buffet talking about expanding EITC to more people and allowing for monthly payouts. But even that is a mediocre offering.

They're not about solving the inequality problem, they're about keeping the 99% consumers happy.
