In reply to the discussion: My medical staff [View all]KitSileya
(4,035 posts)45. I am glad you have such caring staff!
They look adorable!
I had my gallbladder out in 2010, and even though there was apparently some complications during surgery (which took several hours longer than usual) I stayed at the out-patient facility during the night, and took 3-hrs of public transport home the day after. I had a friend with me, which was nice, and my parents came and stayed with me for a week two days later, but honestly, it was no problem. I had to do a no-fat diet for 6 months afterwards, and that went well too. My mom had her gallbladder out a year and a half ago at 60+ years old, and had no big problems managing Christmas dinner the week after (eating it, that is. We cooked!)
I wish you a speedy recovery, and plenty of cuddles with your staff
