(40,416 posts)At Tiger Stadium in Detroit, and at Briggs Stadium before it -- the same stadium, just a different name -- what Will calls a hot dog was called a Red Hot. "Get yer Red Hots!" the vendor in the stands would chant. As any respectable baseball fan, and every single Tiger fan for many decades understands, a Red Hot comes with your choice of condiments, mustard and/or onions. If you ask for ketchup, or horrors relish, the vendor is going to chew you out and describe curtly how you can get wimpy ketchup at the concession under the stands. Meanwhile, "Get yer Red Hots!" It was a high volume enterprise and no self respecting Tiger fan would ask for wimpy ketchup on a hotdog, at least not from the Red Hot vendor walking up and down the stands.
And by the way, no hot dog has ketchup, George. You don't know anything more about baseball than you do about anything else, do you?
Fucking idiot!
