In reply to the discussion: Just food for thought when someone makes a positive post about an event for a Dem Candidate [View all]awoke_in_2003
(34,582 posts)79. You may have missed the thread
that is being referenced from a week or two ago, but there were some that were making innuendos that he didn't care about racial issues because he didn't bring it up in his announcement. It didn't make any difference that he has been on the right side his entire DC career. They were sly about it, but it was clear to see. And, to be fair, I have seen some (but not all, I don't get to be here as much as in the past) do similar things to Hillary, and I try to say something when I see it. Some supporters on both sides need to tone down the BS a bit. Myself, I have decided to check what I say before a post, because it is silly to falsely attacked a candidate that may be going up against republicans next November.

Exactly. If the speech is discussed in the context of a rally then can we respond to the speech?

Why can't you just start a new thread about the rally from your side's perspective?

Bernie is a strong candidate. For all her money, Hillary does not keep up with Bernie.

Good post Lynne. I notice who showed up to say they (plural) have no interest in improving DU ....
