Bernie Sanders Proposes War Tax on Millionaires. Plans to add Amendment to Republican Budget

43. The Budget passed the Senate on May 5th I believe, in a 'non-binding' resolution.

Sanders called it a 'disaster for working people'. It includes major cuts to HC eg. It would be a ten year proposition.

I doubt Bernie expected his amendment to go anywhere considering that Republicans control the House and Senate.

However, he is right to keep putting forth legislation that benefits the people.

Since he was barely known to the public just a few months ago, his proposal received little attention.

But the more people KNOW about those who are trying to stop the Republicans from cutting benefits, cutting HC, cutting EVERYTHING while rewarding their billionaire buddies with more tax cuts, also in the proposed budget, the better.

I think every attempt by any Democrat to start holding them accountable 'they get away with murder' Bernie says, SHOULD be made as public as possible.

This proposal is like to have lots of support, not just from Democrats, IF people know about it.

And now is the time to do it, since Bernie's name recognition is growing and people ARE interested in his record.

I haven't found anything about the amendment part of the Budget so far.
