85. My Great-Grandpa was a chief in a Manhattan Hotel

He also fought in the Civil War at 15 years old. My Dad did a lot of the cooking when I was growing up in the 50's/60's. Although I will say this much. He NEVER wore an apron. Did not care if his clothes got dirty. He would wash them himself. If he spilled something on the floor, he got the mop out and did that himself also. Rod's wife would be horrified at all the "feminine" chores my Dad did.

BTW, Dad was a Longshoreman.
