when this issue first broke I was kind of shocked at how many of my friends who I usually agree with on other issues claim this situation is no different than the Jenner transgender thing. Many of my friends of all races believe this though mostly it is my white,gay friends who said, "who cares, she is/was doing good". Even though I didn't, at first, have it intellectually sorted in my head I just knew the transgender comparison wasn't right .
