I get tired of over scrupulosity. If mocking idiocy, cynical exploitation, hypocrisy, showboating and all that is naughty-naughty , then we lose a way to identify what's wrong and communicate it!!! Group norms, folks. Peer pressure is very much about enforcing group norms...so if you want to reinforce norms of integrity, humility, all that good stuff, we better be able to talk about what it ISN'T!! Humor is a powerful way to do that.

Unless, of course, we'd like to scrupulously fire all comedians, too.

bye bye to Lenny Bruce, Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert and a host of others.
