centrist parties are in the pockets of the capitalists. The difference is, just like with the "center-left" parties in Europe, the Dems CAN be influenced SOMEWHAT by people power. Or at least SOME of the Dems can. NONE of the Republicans can be influenced by the people. ALL of the Rs bow ONLY to their corporate masters.

As always, it's the difference between an open version of proto-fascism and a more covert one. At this stage with the covert version, the people can still organize to a greater extent than they can with the more open version. This gives us a better chance to fight ALL versions of proto-fascism.

At this point, that's reason enough to vote for the Dems. Four more years of organizing the working class and raising class consciousness.
