both as he shot the victims and as he spoke later to the police. He wanted everyone to know his reasons, yet he never mentioned the state senator as a state senator or an activist, so I suspect he really didn't know. He doesn't seem to be all that bright or well-informed. He obviously got his information only from the rightwing racist echo chamber.

Seriously--how many people have any clue at all of who the members are of their state legislatures--or even their county commissioners or their city's mayor--are? Heck most people don't even know who their national congressmen or senators are.

BTW, even if he asked for the reverend specifically, that could just be because he was attacking this famous black church, and he wanted to make sure he got the leader of the church.
