9. My father was a hard drinking, gambling, womanizing adult

as well. We lost our home and were driven into poverty when I was a teenager. He had his good qualities, and I learned some things from him, but on balance, he was a pretty poor role model. I was born with his temper, but learned to control it because I did not want to be like him.
