14. I've tried to find compromise positions

I'm not a 2A absolutist by any means, but when the gun control community embraces with open arms people whose demand is "ban all gun ownership" and who consider all gun owners mass murder enablers (I could point out several examples here at DU), it is kind of hard to find a genuinely reasonable person to discuss genuinely reasonable gun laws with. They probably exist, but if they're at DU they are not showing themselves much.

So, the problem is not "working together", it is finding someone who doesn't treat all gun owners as rabid would-be killers who really ought to be locked up just for wanting to own one. I doubt there is a single RKBA person at DU who does not want to see less gun violence, fewer gun accidents and fewer gun suicides. But when it comes to how we approach the problem? We just don't think that the best way to deal with voting fraud is to ban voting.

But I'll make you a deal. Find me someone here at DU on the control side who is genuinely willing to compromise when it comes to gun laws, and he or she and I can post a joint story/discussion on the RKBA side of things (since I made one polite post over at Gun Control Reform Activism and got banned for it, we can't post it there).
