(39,215 posts)important to them. And since Bernie has supported the social issues in the past there is no reason to believe that he will not continue. My mixed race family are all having a horrible time economically. We are poor, we have trouble keeping enough food on the table, some of us are homeless. Yes there is discrimination but I am sorry it is not the only issue that interests us.
I guess I will send all 28 names of my minority family to Bernie so each day he can mention them in his speech and assure us that he is speaking personally to us. Oh and I'll be sure to name all the women so he can be specific about their needs. For heavens sake - we understand that this country is falling to pieces and that the issues for women and minorities is not going to get better if we just let it collapse around our heads. The harder the times the more competition for the resources the more hatred exists. If we let the corporations take over. That is where my family is coming from. For the issues of discrimination we trust him because of his history. Look at the ratings of the NAACP and other groups. Anyone saying he has not represented women and minorities is lying.
