3. Relative to the rate of replenishment

Example: There is a certain amount of wood in forests. There is the annual rate at which new wood is produced. And there is the rate at which wood is consumed.

One can easily consume, in one year, more wood than is produced in one year. One can do that until one runs out of existing forest.
