A Democrat should have evolved eons ago, and not waited until the political winds shifted. We're suppose to be the party of liberal values, not the party of political shift after the winds have changed.
A Reupblican coming out would be going against their party, not following it. It's more believable knowing they will probably blow their chance at reelection by taking a stand.
