The emails from the DCCC are driving me nuts. [View all]

Today I got one with the subject line: "Crushed hopes, dying dreams." Usually I delete these without even opening or reading them, but I was kind of curious about the latest doom-and-gloom money grovel. So I looked, and here's what it said:

*** (Ocelot): 54,573 people have signed on to congratulate President Obama today. But we haven’t recorded your name. ***

Add your name: Congratulate President Obama on this HUGE victory for the American people!

Congratulated Obama? Not yet!

(Ocelot) -- In the 7 hours since the Supreme Court crushed Republican hopes of destroying Obamacare, we’ve seen a groundswell of support for the President.

This is a great day for the President. But it’s also a great day for America! As President Obama said earlier today, the Affordable Care Act benefits every American.

Before the end of the day, will you help us get 100,000 people to sign the President’s card? Let’s express our gratitude for the law he worked so hard to pass and defend.

ADD YOUR NAME: Congratulate President Obama on this enormous win for his signature law and for the American people.

Thanks,

DCCC

Yuck. What a cheap way to get people to respond to their email.
