58. "get right with your Maker"

That is a variant on what I was told when I was forced to go to the local mental health operated by Richmond County, NC. The therapist told me that because I was gay, I needed to "get right with God."

I do wish reparative therapy was illegal nationwide too. It is dangerous for gay people to have to go through that. It NEEDS to be illegal in all areas of the country. It causes higher suicide rates in a group of people who already have much higher suicide rates. It doesn't work either. It just puts a gay person through hell for nothing. It is torture.

I may never be able to get married anyhow, for other reasons, but I am happy to see this ruling. It is so refreshing to see people be able to marry who they love, despite what asshole homophobes might think.
