Loudest I have heard. We also live close to an outside venue that has fireworks after their concerts for three nights running. Those have been louder than usual this year, too.
I don't know if the neighborhood folks see it as competition with the venue, but I wish they would knock it off. I just love going out for a run the morning after July 4 and seeing all the burned out shells and boxes and black marks on the roads, not to mention the leftover stink. Totally ridiculous, IMO.
We have a Dachshund and you'd think she'd be a nervous wreck, but she's not. We crate her at night and she burrows under her blankets, so I guess she feels secure enough.
