War sucks, and civil wars suck most of all because there are no winners. Winners are measured by how much damage both sides inflict on their own countrymen and cities. Can one side actually be thought of as a winner if they partially destroy their own country? Pyrrhic winner at best.
My ancestors fought for the Union BTW
