Romney + RNC - $40.1m vs Obama + DNC - $43.6m

It's very worrying that he's managed to raise almost as much as President Obama WITHOUT the GOP super pacs, isn't it?

I know some will accuse this of being 'concern trolling' but honestly, we've seen the power of money in political advertising. The hope has to be that this is just a one-off 'nomination bounce'.

If not, how will maybe $800m raised by Obama + super pacs compete with the $2b plus that the other side will no doubt see when you factor in their own pacs and the hundreds of millions of his own money Romney will no doubt 'repatriate' from Switzerland?

I'm calling shenanigans on the "95% $250 or less", by the way!
