and the Navy admits to $8.5 billion each in 2012 dollars. So, with overruns and inflation, what will it really cost? But, of course, each one will save us $5 billion over its 50 year lifetime--so it's a bargain, right?

Granted, that's a lot of economic activity, but how about some serious economic activity in areas where we really need it. And killing the carrier project doesn't hurt the people cutting the other stuff does.
