50. What black people understand, that white progressives don't get is

Our issues are important. Our sons and daughters literally have targets on their backs. Our lives are in danger, and you want to talk about poverty. This is a big tent and all of our issues should be heard. If poverty is dealt with, that could solve a lot of problems but it still doesn't solve the problems of mass incarceration(aka:slave labor) and police brutality and outright murder. Bernie has some great points and I do believe that of any candidates he would be the one to work with us. He addressed those protesters poorly and kind of shelved the issue. but, if you want our votes and you do-put in a little effort. Show us you care. Don't take our votes for granted. People are dying out here-we are just not that easy anymore.
