1. Delayed again this morning

The trains were delayed again this morning so that makes 4 out of 5 days this week. Very bad week for commuters. They have all these delays the same week they announce a 9% rate hike.

People definately blame Christie for the trains. The tunnel from NJ to NYC is now over 100 years old and only has two tracks. Two tracks for all the daily traffic in/out of NYC to NJ. That tunnel should have been upgraded 30 or 40 years ago.

As a NJ resident I still don't totally blame Christie for stopping that specific deal. It was bad for NJ. NJ would have been on the hook for any cost overruns ( and in NY/NJ there are ALWAYS cost overruns ). Also this new project would not have been directly connected to Penn Station nor Grand Central. Not sure about all the detals on that part but I think the issue with that would have been that it would have been connected to differant subway lines. So I see why that part of the deal was possibly not the best plan. But that was now years ago and nothing has been done since. A responsible governor would have at least presented an alternative plan.

Other than his performance during Superstorm Sandy he has been a do nothing governor.

Of course next week the trains will go back to normal and in a month nobody in NJ will remember this.
