I think I fear for those I leave behind. I know people move through grief - but the number of times I've said -
I wish dad could have been here.
My gramfeathers woud have loved Luhrman's Gatsby.
I wish Slacker could have been at this girls weekend.
What would Wendell be today(cousin who was murdered heading to American for Law)? He'd be like Corey Booker I bet.
My oldest friend I've known for 39 years. I have so many friends and a good family. Whatever the reality of death is - I want to go to it quickly and not be conscious of those thoughts and words.
And well - I have a neat picture of my dad's hand on my mom's shoulder at his funeral/grave side. No one was standing behind her. Just his hand. I'm not afraid of that.
