In reply to the discussion: Do you fear Death? [View all]Paper Roses
(7,622 posts)14. I do not fear death, I worry about my kids and grandchildren.
When my husband died, it was a devastating blow to the whole family.
I am still not over that sudden and heartbreaking event.
I worry now about the work and time that my children will have to go through to clear up my estate and put thoughts of me at rest.
The whole process is expensive and time consuming.
Wish I could pick a day, have a clear and simple transfer of whatever assets I have and be done with it.
I don't believe in the 'hereafter', just stick me in the toaster, plant me and put up a cute tree at Christmas! The tree is already in the attic for my late husband. One of my kids better bring it to the cemetery or I will come back and haunt them!
As far as I'm concerned, it is just a big sleep. Been here, done that, gone now!
