greatest fail in the history of DU, a faceplant of epic proportions.

I think the reaction to this thread is a little overwrought.

I certainly wouldn't have started this thread, and I was surprised at who did start it.

But, "24 business hours" is a part of Pitt's legacy, and he's not going to be able to run away and hide every time someone brings it up.

What he could do is just write something like "yeah, that was a huge fuck up, I made an ass of myself, and I really was out of line in how I treated people who were rightfully skeptical of that line of bullshit. I'm embarrassed to have peddled such bullshit, and I'll try to do better. And, yes, it does seem rather comical and absurd in retrospect." That's what he should have done, years ago.

But, he's never come close to holding himself accountable for it, all the while trying to play the part of calling bullshit on everyone else.

And then he quits DU because someone mentions it?

Are we going to have posts hidden every time they contain the phrase "24 business hours" because they make our local demi-celebrity uncomfortable?
