He really really really thought he was going to become part of the pundit class."

First, actually, he was here because he liked it here and felt part of a family. He said so many times, both on the forum and other places. He acted like he felt this way, both here and other places.

"The kind of dude who shows up on Rachel Maddow (which didn't exist when this all started but whatever) once a month to discuss the issues of the day. It didn't happen."

Maybe it didn't happen because he didn't make it a priority, but more importantly, so what? HVe you seen the pundits we do have?

"His books didn't go anywhere, and one of them turned out to be co-authored by a pedophile."

I already addressed this utter crap.

The 'last grasp at the brass ring is the the poster's characterization. The second part of the sentence is about the only accurate thing in the post.

"Frankly, it's probably for the best that he not hang around here."

That's just a laugh.
