I'm tired of the posts disparaging how I should feel. I can walk and chew gum and scratch my head, thanks. My brain is capable of feeling empathy for lots of things at the same time.
Yesterday, I was at the local county fair and there was a pen for the "Opportunity Pig." Well, guess what "opportunity" that pig had? The opportunity for someone to bid and turn him into bacon at the end of the night. I walked out immediately, crying like a baby. At 38 years old. And yes I'm a vegan, before anyone asks (but no, before you whine- not you in particular, DMM- I won't judge your meaty feelings).

I was so deeply sad to learn of Cecil's passing, just like I was when I learned my jackass neighbor sent a stray cat to the pound the other day, even though the stray didn't do anything to anyone and was likely someone's lost pet.
