chillfactor (offer to share spacious home with 2 fenced acres for dog in NM)
corgigal (offer to share home with space for dog near Charleston, SC)
rug (offered space 3 hours to your north)

Leaving the area would be disruptive, but at least you'd get Yoshi back. I'm sure the job markets are no worse there than Philly. Plus it would give you a fresh start.

I would make a quick list of priorities, get back what stuff you can with Yoshi as #1 on the list. You had mentioned furniture before: I would put that last on the list. You can replace it and it's not worth anything for re-sale. You mentioned underwear: you can buy cheap $1 underwear at the dollar store. and get other clothes dirt cheap at salvation army and other charity places.

I'd get back the blu ray thingy and the tv...anything you can sell for what cash to raise money for gas to get out.
