i have directtv and the bill had gotten to 115 a month, and i'm not even top tier, no addons. so....i called them and told them it was totally unacceptable. they dropped my bill by $50 and only with a 1 year contract (that was ok with me, i'm not going anywhere). i would have cancelled it totally, but i have a lot of recorded stuff i haven't watched yet. they REALLY wanted to keep me!
after a year, i will cut the cord for good.
